The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit reported two new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday and three resolved.
The new cases include one person each in Nipissing and Parry Sound districts.
The individuals are described as two people between 20 and 39 years of age, one of whom was exposed to COVID-19 through close contact with a case. The other is linked to an ongoing outbreak.
Both individuals are isolating at home. The health unit does not specify in which district each individual case resides.
The region’s active case count is now down to 25 from 26 Monday.
The active cases include 19 in Nipissing District and six in Parry Sound District. One person in Parry Sound District is in hospital.
There have now been 179 cases of COVID-19 in the region since the pandemic began, including 105 in Nipissing District and 74, including one death, in Parry Sound District.
A total of 75,544 tests have been completed to date.
