What it is: Vancouver-based skin care brand Midnight Paloma has expanded its product offering to include a few new products.

The recent release sees the company introduce three small-batch creations including The Brightener (a vitamin C and hyaluronic acid serum); Everyday Moisturizer (a daily moisturizer with hyaluronic acid, jojoba oil and rosehip oil); Cleansing Balm (with Burdock Root, camomile and cucumber extract); and a Daily Bundle (featuring the three aforementioned new releases).

The products are cruelty free, 100 per cent natural and made right here in Vancouver.

What we say: Already a fan of many Midnight Paloma products — if you haven’t tried some of their Skin Tools such as the dry brush or silicone cleansing mitt, or their Detox Mask, you’re missing out — our tester was excited to test out the new range.

The cleansing balm has a nice consistency and worked to remove the day’s dirt and grime, without stripping skin. The Brightener Serum was a bit strong, prompting immediate redness that subsided after a few seconds. The formula contains concentrated vitamin C (to the tune of 12 per cent), which may have proved a bit too potent on our tester’s redness-prone skin.

The Everyday moisturizer, with its blend of skin-plumping hyaluronic acid, jojoba oil and antioxidant-rich rosehip oil left our tester’s skin feeling soothed and hydrated. With a nice, fresh scent this gel-cream hybrid moisturizer worked well on her combination skin.
